Deep cenote diving

If you already know the classic cenotes, this experience takes you to the deepest and most spectacular cenotes in the Riviera Maya.

You’ll descend through huge shafts of crystal-clear water where light streams in as vertical rays, cross haloclines where fresh water meets salt water and, in some cenotes, you’ll see the famous hydrogen sulfide cloud, which looks like a river floating underwater.

Each trip combines two different cenotes, chosen based on conditions, group experience and the day’s plan.

Duration: 5 hours. We pick you up at 8:00 a.m. and return around 1:00 p.m. (times may vary by group).

Requirements

• PADI Advanced certification (Advanced Open Water) or equivalent
• Previous experience and good buoyancy control
• Minimum age 16 for cavern diving
• No flying for 18 hours after diving
• Sign the medical questionnaire and liability release
