Snorkeling with Turtles in Akumal & Tulum Ruins
Tulum Archaeological Site
We start the day by touring the ruins of Tulum, an ancient Mayan city built on a cliff overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Its stone structures, surrounded by turquoise water and white sand, make it the most picturesque archaeological site in the Riviera Maya.
Snorkeling with Turtles in Akumal
After the ruins, we head to Akumal, whose Mayan name means “place of turtles.” In its shallow bay, sea turtles feed on seagrass, so you’re very likely to swim right alongside them.
Akumal is one of the best places in the Riviera Maya for family snorkeling, with calm beaches and a hands-on experience with nature.
A certified guide accompanies you all day. Whether you’re an experienced snorkeler or less comfortable in the water, they’ll adapt to your level so you can enjoy it in complete safety.
We provide you with complete snorkel equipment and, if you like, a wetsuit at no extra cost. All the equipment is washed and disinfected daily.
During the snorkel, a professional photographer captures your experience. At the end of the day, you can buy the photos on a USB drive.
